Assorted Toffees from Colne Engaine

Assorted Toffees from Colne Engaine

This charming book is a compilation of articles written for the Colne Engaine Parish Magazine by Polly Clarke between 1999 and 2003. They are pastoral in theme, being observations and reflections about life in the village, both past & present; its farming and countryside, its wildlife, the church and the people. It includes a foreword by George Courtauld and is illustrated with photographs and drawings.

For each copy sold £1 will be donated to St. Andrews Church, Colne Engaine.

Polly has also sent me some sample chapters.

Paperback, 76 pages with 21 illustrations price £6 plus 60p for postage and packing

"This delightful volume is not a conservation handbook but should be read by all who care about the Essex countryside."
